During this session, I plan to talk about what Drupal for Facebook is, what Facebook Applications are, and show a live demo. The demo app is available for preview. If you’re deciding whether or not to attend this session, I recommend you take a look and see if this is something that interests you.
The demo will illustrate the configuration necessary to get Drupal for Facebook to do something useful. I’ve chosen to present an application very similar to the one I presented in Barcelona. Specifically, creating a blog that appears on your Facebook profile. I think this is a nice demo because it requires very few additions to Drupal core, and everyone will be familiar with how this sort of thing is accomplished in Drupal, so the demo can skip to the parts relevant to Facebook.
You can preview the demo now, here: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=26042630704. If you add the application, you can post your own blog stories. If you just want to view, without adding the app, browse my blog: http://apps.facebook.com/badcamp/my_blog/1001.
It’s simply put together, and if you’re observant you’ll discover some glitches. If you have questions, please bring them with you to the presentation. Hope to see you then!
