Once the session schedule is put together, is there any energy among attendees to get good recordings of each session? I can volunteer to record the sessions that I attend on the 3rd.
I have a good, portable recording device and would be happy to capture audio for any sessions I attend (and present) on Sunday. I’m already booked all day Saturday and can’t attend BADCamp at all that day. Depending on the presentation, the audio might be quite handy, though obviously video would be better in some circumstances (and I don’t have a good camera for that).
I’m guessing Tao is way too over-committed to personally organize/coordinate audio/visual stuff, but perhaps there could be a simple modification to this site to enable the signup.module on the session nodes themselves and let people indicate what sessions they’re going to attend, and if they’re going to be able to record anything. I think with the latest signup_views.inc support, he could then make a table view of all the sessions, where there could be columns that indicate if anyone’s signed up to audio or video record. (Or something). ;)
The organizers aren’t doing any official video capture of the camp, so it would be great if people want to do their own recordings. Folk can just join the session groups and post that they have a session covered. And I think Aaron was interested in trying to get audio/video back on the site.
